Hello
I'm Rebecca Longley
I have enjoyed teaching piano starting in 1982, with a midlife break for family and career in clinical research. In 2018 I restarted my studio, rebranded as Be Sharp Piano Lessons. I have a Bachelors degree from Oberlin College and Conservatory, and Masters from the University of Minnesota.
What are my lessons about?
I have two options for piano lessons:
· In-your-home within reasonable driving distance of Chapel Hill/Chatham County NC
· Virtual (Zoom, Google Meet, Facetime etc).
Both options have pros and cons but both work well for learning. Online lessons are easy to set up. Most students put their iPhone, ipad or laptop near the piano in a way where I can see their keys and profile. Once we are set up, lessons are the almost the same as if I were present with the student in their own home. This option works well for distance, illness, vacation time or other circumstances.
I am delighted that you are interested in taking piano lessons and I enjoy helping you on your musical journey! Whether a beginner learning their first note, an intermediate student shooting for that next level, or an adult revisiting an old passion, I’m here to guide you along. I teach children has young as 6 right up to retired adults. There is never a better time to try piano!
